We offer competitive interest rates, compounded and credited monthly. Interest is paid from the business day of deposit to day of withdrawal. Maintaining a $100 minimum balance each day the statement cycle avoids the $1 monthly maintenance fee. This fee is waived for those under 18. Customers 62 or older may receive their choice of one account, checking or savings, with no minimum balance and no maintenance fee. A monthly statement details all transactions, including interest earned.
It's the same as statement savings, except that you use a passbook at the bank instead of receiving a monthly statement. Of course, if you think passbooks are old-fashioned, remember that they're a great way to teach children how to save. And as it turns out, adults like the quaint little passbooks, too!
