COLEBROOK AND AMHERST HOST NEW HAMPSHIRE MOOSE PARADE

Fanciful, multi-colored moose are parading across New Hampshire this summer, and two of them will spend several weeks at the Colebrook and Amherst offices of First Colebrook Bank. "The New Hampshire Moose parade consists of sixty-five molded fiberglass moose sculptures created by Raymond Paulin of Berlin, New Hampshire," explains bank President and CEO Jim Tibbetts. "The six-foot by four-foot moose all started out plain white, but then dozens of artists from the New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester as well as high school art students from throughout the state painted them in a wide range of design themes." There's Boston Celtics moose, and Maple Syrup moose; in a more serious vein, there's All-American Moose, and Pink Ribbon Moose, which promotes the fight against breast cancer.

"As a sponsor of this statewide fundraising effort of the Daniel Webster Council of the Boy Scouts of America, we will have Lilac Moose on display in our Colebrook lobby for the rest of the summer," says Tibbetts. "First Colebrook Bank has long been known as the 'Moose Bank' - our logo is the silhouetted head of a bull moose - so the visiting moose will feel right at home." At the same time, Chocolate Chip Cookie Moose will visit the bank's Amherst branch. "We're offering a free cookie to anyone who stops by to see our moose," says Amherst Branch Manager Amy Wheeler. "We love the fact that we can help the Boy Scouts, support New Hampshire artists, and have some fun doing it!"

From September 26-28, all the moose will be rounded up from across the state and displayed at Veterans Park in Manchester; on October 3, the moose will be auctioned with the proceeds to benefit the Daniel Webster Council's outreach programs. "The New Hampshire Moose Parade project will help all 19,000 young people involved in the council's various scouting programs," says Daniel Webster Council's Development Director Joe Wiltrout.
