COMES TO AMHERST OFFICE The New Hampshire Locked Moose Antler Project, Inc., announces that their exhibit, "Forever Locked", will be on display at the Amherst, New Hampshire, branch of First Colebrook Bank on Saturday, May 10, 2008, from 10am to 2pm. "Forever Locked" is a life-size, museum-quality taxidermy exhibit depicting a rare, natural event that occurred near an early settlement known as Fowlertown, located in Gile State Forest, Springfield, New Hampshire. It portrays two bull moose that permanently locked antlers while dueling, causing their deaths. The exhibit is the property of the non-profit New Hampshire Locked Moose Antler Project, Inc., and was created in partnership with Nature's Reflection Taxidermy of Gray, Maine. "Forever Locked" is an educational wildlife exhibit that accurately captures a naturally occurring wildlife phenomenon. It works in cooperation with the New Hampshire Conservation Officers Relief Association, and supports the mission of the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department which reads, "As guardian of the state's fish, wildlife, and marine resources, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department works in partnership with the public to conserve, manage and protect these resources and their habitats; inform and educate the public about these resources; and provide the public with opportunities to use and appreciate these resources". In 2008, the New Hampshire Locked Moose Antler Project, Inc., will be awarding scholarships and donating to the purchase of conservation land for public use.
