First Colebrook Bank Supports Got Lunch! Program
On Friday, May 16th, First Colebrook Bank hosted Jeans Day to benefit the Colebrook area ‘Got Lunch!’ program. First Colebrook Bank is pleased to announce that $180 was raised for the program.
The Colebrook area Got Lunch! program is in its third year of providing healthy and free summer lunches to all Colebrook, Stewartstown and Pittsburg school children. The program is managed by a group of concerned citizens from the Monadnock Congregational Church who took action when they heard that many children were not getting the nutrition they need during the summer.
Families who register will be able to pick up lunches or have delivery to their homes. A grocery bag of healthy foods including fresh fruits and vegetables, a loaf of whole wheat bread and sandwich fillings are included. SAU #7 is partnering with the volunteers in an effort to assist them to reach local families.
All employees at all branches participate in First Colebrook Bank’s Jeans Day. Each of the four branches has the opportunity to select one charity per year. Employees donate $5 to wear jeans for the day and contributions collected are donated to charity.
